1.2 Facial Position & Composition

Face must be directly facing the camera.

The face (from top of hair to bottom of chin) should cover 70–80% of the image height.

Both ears should be clearly visible (not covered by hair).

Natural facial expression: no smile, no frown.
-
Eyes open, clearly visible – no squinting or closed eyes.
-
No sunglasses, tinted glasses or reflective lenses.
-
Prescription glasses are allowed only if they don’t obscure the eyes.
Important Note:
- Do not crop from full-body photos, selfies, or passport scans. Use a fresh headshot taken specifically for the eVisa application.
- You don't need to measure millimeters – just make sure your face is not too small or too large, and your eyes are in the upper-middle part of the frame.
1.3 Attire and Accessories

No hats, caps, or headscarves, except for religious purposes (face must remain fully visible).

1.4 How to Take the Photo at Home

Set up a white or light-colored background (e.g., curtain, bedsheet, wall).

Stand 1 to 1.5 meters from the camera.
1.5 Posing Guidelines

Stand straight, face the camera directly.

Keep shoulders level, avoid tilting your head.

Ensure your head occupies about 70–80% of the frame height.
1.6 Reminders

Each applicant must submit their own photo – including infants and children.

Submitting an incorrect photo is a common reason for eVisa rejections.

Always use a recent photo (within the last 6 months).

► Option 2: Use a Smartphone Camera
