Holders of an Indian e-Visa (ETA) must enter India through one of the designated international airports or seaports. The current list includes 28 airports and 5 seaports, such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Goa, and Cochin.
However, the actual port of entry does not need to match the one stated in your e-Visa application.
For example, if you applied to enter via New Delhi but your travel plan changes, you can still enter through Mumbai or any other designated entry point.
When departing India, you may exit through any authorized Immigration Check Post (ICP). ICPs include international airports, international seaports, and land/railway border crossings officially designated by the Government of India. This provides travelers with greater flexibility in planning their return journey.
