1. Eligibility & Requirements for UAE Citizens

To apply for an eVisa to India from the United Arab Emirates, UAE citizens must meet the following requirements:

• A valid UAE passport with at least six months of validity.

• At least two blank pages in the passport.

⚠️ Important: UAE citizens of Pakistani origin (parents or ancestors from Pakistan) are not eligible for an eVisa. They must apply for a traditional visa through the Embassy.

Important Note on Stay Duration

• Each calendar year, depending on the type of eVisa, you may either remain in India for a single extended visit or make multiple entries. The following conditions apply:

• A maximum of 90 consecutive days per entry; and

• No more than 180 days in total per year.

• For Business travelers, if the total stay (including e-Business) exceeds 180 days in a year, registration with FRRO/FRO is required.

2. How to Apply for an eVisa to India from the UAE

• Standard: ~4 business days.

• Urgent: ~72 hours.

4. Travel Notes for UAE Citizens

• Apply at least 4–7 days before your trip for peace of mind.

• For last-minute plans, choose Urgent or Super Urgent services to avoid delays.

5. Yellow Fever Vaccination Requirement

If you are arriving from, or have transited more than 12 hours in, a country affected by Yellow Fever, you must present a valid International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) upon entry. Learn more about Yellow Fever–affected countries and vaccination guidelines here.

• Without this certificate, travelers may be quarantined for 6 days.

• Direct flights from the UAE do not require this certificate. However, if your route involves a layover in an affected country, ensure you are prepared.
